Vestmannaeyjar

This place is amazing to me. The land here, the cliffs look like fantasy drawings, and until recently i had never seen anything in real life that looked like them.
They are a cluster of islands off the south shore of Iceland with high cliffs rising from the sea

And it has the newest island in the world, from a volcanic eruption in 1963. There is new land, from only 47 years ago. THERE IS AN ISLAND YOUNGER THAN MY MOTHER.

This part is great: "Fishing has always been the major income generator for the islanders but there is also a great tradition for fetching eggs from the cliffs as well as hunting puffins and other sea-birds."
Fetching eggs? Like mushroom hunting, I imagine. And how do you hunt a puffin? Why do you hunt a puffin? Do you eat them? Does it taste like chicken?
