I loaded my first cone nine kiln the other day, and it came out beautifully! I am so upset that I am graduating, right as I finally got into the rhythm of working in the ceramics studio. Pish. Tosh. I'm going to be at OxBow for two weeks as a TA though- that's pretty exciting! I am going to hike and canoe and swim and work every single day for two weeks! Last year, I came home with 500 mosquito bites, a tan and minus 15 pounds. Heres some pictures from Oxbow last summer:

The Aforementioned Plants

I bought five plants on Tuesday, instead of going to class!
I need to name them and make a watering chart, so I remember which is which, or rather, who is who.

Cloudy Morning

Sitting drinking my coffee on the 12th floor, shoes off.
Molly came over early, seven am, I showed her how to use my grandma's sewing machine.
I forgot to open the shades to let the light shine on my new plants, but there's not much light anyways.
I don't really understand plants, but it's a wonder anything grows in Chicago.
